CEPA offers introductory and advanced short-courses on productivity and efficiency measurement on a regular basis at the St Lucia campus. Tailored short-courses and workshops have also been provided for the World Bank, NSW Treasury, the Industry Commission, Victorian Treasury, Queensland Treasury and the Bureau of Industry Economics (BIE).
The present demand for short courses reflects a growing interest in performance measurement in the public sector in Australia. CEPA has put together a series of short courses which deal with the most up-to-date techniques for measuring efficiency in multiple output, multiple input organisations. These methods include index numbers, stochastic frontier models and data envelopment analysis.
