Recent honours graduates have been offered positions at the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Federal Treasury, Deutsche Bank, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Commonwealth Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Energy Regulator as well as private consulting firms such as Deloitte and the global engineering company AECOM.
 
The Honours degree is also an excellent basis for entry into PhD programs and our honours graduates are studying on full scholarships at leading universities such as Harvard and Princeton.
 

What will I study?

Honours in economics can be undertaken following graduation with a Bachelor of Economics or a Bachelor of Arts (with extended major in Economics). The Bachelor of Economics Honours program is available in the fields of Economics and Econometrics. The Bachelor of Arts Honours program is available in the field of Economics where the student has completed an extended major in Economics.
