School of Economics staff win Teaching and Learning Award

Outstanding academic and professional staff have been recognised at UQ’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law staff excellence awards.

The annual awards celebrated the exceptional achievements and significant contributions made by staff during the year to improving research, teaching and learning, and service delivery within the Faculty and the wider community.

The awards honoured individuals and teams from UQ’s School of Economics, Business School and TC Beirne School of Law.

The awards were presented by BEL Faculty Executive Dean Professor Andrew Griffiths and Deputy Executive Dean Professor Phil Bodman who congratulated the award winners and thanked Faculty staff for their hard work and dedication during the year.

Teaching and learning

BEL Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence (BEL-ATE)

The BEL-ATE give recognition to individuals and teams renowned for excellence in teaching and who have made a broad and deep contribution to enhancing the quality of learning and teaching over a sustained period in the BEL Faculty at The University of Queensland. Awards will be given to individuals and teams who are widely acknowledged for their achievements within their School or the Faculty or the wider University community, and who have received strong endorsement within their area.

BEL Faculty Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning or Experience (BEL-COCSLE)

The BEL-COCSLE recognise and reward individuals or teams who make a significant contribution to student learning and/or the student experience in a specific area of responsibility over a sustained period, who are widely acknowledged for their achievements within their School or the Faculty or the wider University community, and who have received strong endorsement within their area.
