Professor Paul Frijters, from the University of Queensland School of Economics, presented an engaging and informative lecture on China’s Century to approximately 100 IES Foundation Year economics students early this year.
International Educational Services (IES) Foundation Year students undertake a yearlong program to help them prepare for entry into undergraduate programs at UQ.
The students come from approximately 40 countries all around the world including Hong Kong, Singapore, Fiji, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, USA, Africa, Ecuador and many more.
We are looking forward to welcoming some of these students next year when they start a Bachelors of Economics degree here at UQ.
