In addition to the standard application documents required for admission, the School of Economics requests that applicants include a research proposal and cover letter to support their application.

Master of Philosophy (MPhil)

Information about the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program can be found on the UQ Study website. Applications must be submitted online

In addition to the standard application documents required for admission, the School of Economics requests that applicants include a research proposal and cover letter to support their application.

Enquiries about the admission process and your application can be made with the HDR Liaison Officer at hdr.economics@enquire.uq.edu.au.

Please note that as we have a limited number of spaces in our HDR program and MPhil and PhD applications are considered in the same application pool, MPhil applicants have a much smaller likelihood of being invited into the program.

Potential applicants for both the PhD and MPhil programs are advised that it is a policy within the School of Economics to ignore or delete spam emails that show no sign of any research having been undertaken in the quest to find an appropriate adviser for a research project.
