Postgraduate coursework & research (HDR) scholarships

Economics Postgraduate Coursework Indigenous Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance to students of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background to study economics with us at a postgraduate level.

Eligibility
  • Current or future domestic postgraduate student.
  • You are enrolled, or intending to enrol, in a postgraduate coursework program administered by the School of Economics.
  • You are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Scholarship details
  • Up to 100% of the tuition fee.
  • For the duration of the program.
  • 1 awarded per year.

PhD Economics Top-Up scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student

Eligibility
  • Current or future domestic postgraduate research (HDR) student.
  • You are enrolled through the School of Economics.
Scholarship details
  • $14,000 per annum awarded.
  • Up to 4 years duration.
  • Number awarded may vary.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Economics Postgraduate Support Scholarship

The scholarship aims to encourage, support and enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in a postgraduate program through the School of Economics to purchase technology and travel back to Country during their studies.

Eligibility
  • Current or future domestic postgraduate student.
  • You are enrolled or intending to enrol in a postgraduate coursework program administered by the School of Economics.
  • You are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander who identifies as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and who is accepted as such by the community in which you have lived.
Scholarship details
  • $4,000 awarded in the first year, $2,000 in the second year.
  • Up to 2 years duration.
  • Number awarded may vary.
