About the Presenter

Dr Mahreen Mahmud is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at the University of Exeter Business School Department of Economics.

Mahreen works on topics related to development and behavioural economics with field experiments in Kenya, Pakistan, South Africa and Uganda.

She is particularly interested in women’s low labour force participation rates and lack of enterprise growth in low and middle-income countries.
