Held annually in July, the Economics Schools Day is an immersive and interactive learning day for high school students. The event is hosted in partnership with the Queensland Economics Teachers' Association (QETA) and is open to students in years 10, 11 and 12 .
Throughout the event, students will explore UQ St Lucia campus, network with other students and participate in activities on a myriad of social issues such as climate change and complex decision-making.
What to expect
Participants will have opportunities to:
- discover what economics is about
- learn economics concepts with interactive games
- explore future career opportunities in economics
- ask UQ economics lecturers questions
- hear from current UQ economics students
- experience university life on campus.
Who should attend
- High school students in years 10, 11 and 12.
