Dr Zachary Breig

Researcher biography
Dr Zachary Breig received his PhD from the University of California, San Diego in 2017 and is a Lecturer in the School of Economics. He is a member of UQ's Behavioural and Economic Science Cluster and is the manager of the BESC laboratory.
Dr Breig specialises in the fields of behavioural economics, game theory, and decision theory. His research has been published in the Journal of Economic Theory, Economic Letters, and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. His work has received funding from the Hayek Fund for Scholars at the Institute for Humane Studies. In 2021 he received a BEL Connect Grant from the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law. This grant was used in collaboration with researchers across UQ and in industry to study the heuristics and biases that affect older Australians when they make their healthcare decisions.
