Established in 2005 and maintained by an endowment from the estate of the late Warren Braxton Bannister.

1. Two Bursaries are awarded annually by Senate on the recommendation of the Head, School of Economics.

2. The Bursaries are open, upon written application, to students enrolled in Year 1 of the Bachelor of Economics program. 

3. The Bursaries are awarded to the applicants showing the greatest merit, as demonstrated by:
(a) financial need (documentation required); and
(b) either -
(i) academic achievement; or
(ii) evidence relevant to future success in the study of economics.

4. The Head, School of Economics may cancel the Bursary of a recipient who fails to -
(a) maintain full-time enrolment in the Bachelor of Economics program; or
(b) pursue the program to the Head’s satisfaction.

5. The value of the bursary is $3,000.
