Specialises in the economics of information and knowledge, economics of innovation and information technology, and regional economics.

Dr Mandeville is co-founder and editor board member of Prometheus. He has acted as consultant to OECD, EU, Commonwealth Government, Queensland Government, W.A. Government, local authorities, Telstra, private industry, industry associations, and community organisations.
