Researcher biography

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Institute for Business and Economics (AIBE), Elnaz is engaged with the Port of Brisbane partnership project, to deliver cutting-edge research supporting port growth.

Elnaz's research contributes to emerging themes within transport and logistics engineering. Specifically, her research investigates the role of decision making of freight agents in the international trade and emerging technologies and solutions to support the logistics operations of the Port of Brisbane.

Her research spans behavioral discrete choice modeling, optimization algorithms, agent-based modeling and blockchain technology. Currently, she is working closely with the Port of Brisbane to study the supply chain use case of blockchain technology.

Elnaz has received her Ph.D. from the School of Civil Engineering majoring in Transport Engineering from the University of Queensland. Prior to commencing at UQ, Elnaz worked as a senior transport engineer and modeler for more than eight years.
